The name Merah is the first clue guests have regarding the venue. 

Merah is the word “harem” written backwards.  Harem being an ancient Arabian word that identifies a large opulent room within a palace, where concubines used to gather together.  Today, Merah evokes this ancient word in a modern and new mode.  An ancient place transported into the moment for today’s distinguished clientele. 

Merah is a modern urban Harem.

Merah’s interior is a magnum opus of design and beautification. A commissioned art work interpreting a graphic version of ancient scrolls has been transformed into bespoke wallpaper, covering all the walls;  A bar that straight out of the 1980s disco days creates a focal point above the dance floor;  A system of couloured lights bathe the venue in ever transforming moods of “light therapy” are controlled by a dedicated lights artist atop the DJ booth.  A truly flawless sound system has been installed to pump out the latest in dance hits, a taste of in-house remixed Ethnic tunes and a great deal of good vibes, all in the aim of keeping our guests feet dancing on the tables till the early hours.  A lighting system so intricate that Merah has a top lighting technician on the team to control the computerized led system.  Changing the mood of the venue with every different combination, some might even say its “light therapy”.  This allows the club to be adapted to suit practically all themes.

The door policy at Merah is very tight, there is no guest list and no membership, just exclusivity and elegance.
