Venue Description:
This room was historically used for shooting practice in the 1800's by country men visiting town, hence its name. This vast room is 18 metres (60 feet) long with 5 metres (18 feet) high ceilings. The walls are covered in a dramatic wallpaper featuring jungle landscapes in grey sepia tones. It is furnished with an eclectic collection of furniture including 1970’s lucite tables and lamps and artwork by Oliver Messel. It can easily be transformed from a sumptuous private dining room to a lavish cocktail party or launch venue.
